Here’s your weekly dose of warmth and wisdom, coming right at you in our signature style. Let’s dive into this week’s Lovin’, Usin’, and Readin’! 🌟
💬 Quote of the Week:
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.” —William James A nugget of truth to keep in our minds as we charge through the days.
🏋️ Workout Routine I’m Lovin’: Upper/Lower Split
Schedule: Upper, Rest, Lower, Rest, Upper, Rest, Lower, Rest, etc.
Summary: Since relocating to Japan last month, I’ve been on the move and end up at different gyms each week. This makes it a bit hard to track progressive overload as I have to adapt to what equipment is available at each location. However, I’ve stayed fairly consistent and have been prioritizing form and workload. I think the biggest change for me recently is trying to recalibrate what training ’til failure feels like vs what is just moderately uncomfortable. Lack of sleep, nutrition and stress lately have made me second guess my ability to perceive what training to failure ultimately feels like – so I figured now is a good time to really focus on this and lock in as I become more situated with my new location and schedule.
📚 Book of the Week:
Dragons of Winter Night (Dragonlance) by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman: This series has been a great escape for me and I’ve finally finished the second book of the series. Several months ago, I actually started this series but began with The Soulforge and Brothers in Arms as a recommendation from Reddit to understand a bit more about the brothers characters. The plot continues to thicken, but so far, this series has tickled all the right spots and evoked all the right feelings. Truly becoming a tale that is near and dear to my heart.
🌟 Personal Spotlight:
Starting a Blog: The New Frontier: I’ve finally kickstarted my own personal blog. This is it – it’s official (you’re reading it now). To all you would-be bloggers out there, may your words flow as freely as your thoughts!
✨ Creative Corner:
Animation Adventures with Adobe Animator: I finally decided to pick up my pen (or put down) and start creating a world that is truly my own. Right now, I am just beginning the basics of character design and need to work on my sketches – but I’m excited to finally have a tool that will help me focus and eventually enable me to create my own animations.
Till next week, mates! Keep loving deeply, working wisely, and reading avidly. Remember, every day holds a new page, waiting for your story. Cheers! 📚💪✨
